Measure your own bra size

Its fairly easy to measure your own breast size using a tape measure. You have to know that bra sizes are made up of 2 parts:

1) Chest band size
This size is a number, which represents your body size. For example: 30, 32, 34, 36, etc. This size is known as the under bust measurement because it is taken from under the breasts and shoulder blades and around the ribcage.

2) Cup size
The cup size is a letter which represents the size of your breasts. For example: A, B, C, etc. This size is known as the over bust measurement because it is taken around the fullest part of your breasts.

First step:
Get a proper chest band size. This will allow your bra to provide proper support to the breasts while taking the load away from your shoulder straps which are intended to adjust the height of your breasts and they not have to carry it.
• Take a close-fitting measurement around your rib cage, under your breasts and shoulder blades.
• Add 5 inches. For example: 32" + 5" = 37"
• If you get an even number, this is your band size.
• If you get an odd number (like 37), round up one (to 38) to get the band size.
• In this example: 32" + 5" = 37" + 1" = 38"

Second step:
Determine what your cup size is.
• With bra on and clothes off, place the measuring tape under your arms and over the fullest part of the breasts after exhaling. Hold the tape straight but not to tight.
• Subtract your under bust measurement from the first step from your over bust measurement from the second step.
• For example: 39" over bust measurement - 36" under bust measurement = 3"
• Answer > 3" = C cup
You can use the pink size chart to determine the proper cup size based on your measurements.
